Garden Party Table Styling Workshop

Learn how to impress your guests at your next party with our fun and informative workshop! Join us and discover how to style a perfect garden-themed table for a Mother's day, brunch, other special occasions, or just to entertain your loved ones. You will also learn how to craft floral napkin rings which will add another layer of visual interest and are guaranteed to awe. Sign up now to elevate your hosting game!

Beatrice Sannino (Beatrice Sannino Collective) will be styling our table and discussing her choices and method. She'll lend her expertise in traditional Italian craftsmanship and contemporary elegance during this evening workshop.

During the  event, Sella Abalian (Studio Four Six) will lead the floral napkin ring assemblage portion of the workshop.  Participants will be provided with the following materials to make 4 fresh floral napkin rings (additional kits of spooled ribbon and rings will be available for purchase). **Napkins not included.

Materials for 4 napkin rings: (per attendee)

-fresh flowers (for 4 napkin rings)

-1 floral tape

-1 spoon of ribbon (2 yards)

-4 wooden napkin rings

-box to take floral rings home

Fresh flowers will include: thistle, seeded eucalyptus, pussy willows, rice flower or craespedia. *Florals dry beautifully and can be re-used.

Make Your Own Valentine's or Galentines Candle Workshop with And Soaps

Have you ever wanted to learn to make your own candles? Join us at Greentail Table on Thursday, February 8 where And Soaps Founder, Meiera Stern, will teach you how to repurpose old cups, mugs, or small ceramic bowls by turning them into lovely candles, perfect as for gifts or to set a romantic mood. 

Meiera will provide a thorough overview of the candle making process and will walk you through creating your very first candles and everything you need to know to make your own at home, including safety tips, what equipment to buy, and supplier lists. Participants will have the choice of bringing their own 3-16 oz containers or using provided containers at the workshop for an additional fee. 

During the evening, participants will customize their candles by selecting wax color, fragrance, and wick. Candles may not be ready to take home by the end of the workshop, but can be picked up at Greentail Table the following day. 

Also, during the event, you’ll have the opportunity to do some easy Valentine's Day shopping from And Soaps and Greentail Table. Light refreshments will be served.
$65 a person includes the 90-minute class, two to three take home candles (depending on size), candle-making primer, and light refreshments.

Alex Makes Art Harvesting in Wool at Greentail Table

Please join us for a Needle Felting Harvesting Workshop on Thursday, November 2 from 6:30-8:00PM at Greentail Table in Newton! Greentail Table will be hosting Alexandra Adamo of Alex Makes Art , who presided over a very fun Needle Felting Succulent workshop back in April.

Each participant will be felting a pumpkin, gourd or root vegetable of choice. Alex has curated a selection of appropriately colored pieces of  wool roving, 100%  wool felting mats that are reusable for craft breaks to come, and plenty of needles for rhythmic stabbing (yes, you read that right!).

You can be looking forward to light refreshments and snacks as we create community and enjoy a night of skill building. Alex will chat about her English angora bunny, crafting with Gotland and Leicester longwool sheep, and will give a nod to her fibrous installation that will wrapping up its six months stint in the Linde Family Wing in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, on October 22. Its fabulous, so try to take it in, if you have not already!

Interior Design Night at Greentail Table
We are so happy to be hosting an evening with four talented local designers to discuss current design topics which we think will  be of great interest to you!
 
Please join us in the shop Wednesday evening, October 25, from 6:30-8:00PM, for an evening focused on interior design.  Each designer will speak on her chosen topic for 15 minutes. There will be time for Q & A's as well as time to mix and mingle and shop. Light refreshments will be served.
 
The 4 designers include:
 
Priyanka Behl of Behl Designs will discuss the role textiles play in design.
 
Ana Bonilla of AnaVera Design will talk about incorporating color and your own personality into the design of a space.
 
Barbara Hirsch of Elza B. Design will talk about the added value of interior design for kitchens and baths as well as refreshing on a budget.
 
Sabrina Stewart of Laval Interiors will discuss the importance adding custom elements to your home and why at least one conversation/statement piece is key to a well designed space.

Have you had a chance to visit Newton's newest Italian Market? If not, you are in luck! We will be hosting a free charcuterie event with Market Tiamo in the shop on Thursday, November 10 from 6:30PM-8:30PM. Come meet Francesco Iacovitti, an Abruzzi native, who along with Marissa Iocco, noted local Italian chef, co-own Market Tiamo as well as Spiga Ristorante in Needham. 

Francesco will demonstrate how to make a delicious and tasty charcuterie board. Guests will be able to sample many delicious Italian cured meats and cheeses as well as other Italian accompaniments to inspire appetizing and appealing charcuterie boards. Limited to 20 participants.

Rikke will join us to talk about living a more sustainable lifestyle and will demonstrate the company's unique textile designs, while helping you get started on your holiday shopping.

The Organic Company is a Danish design brand creating sustainable home designs in certified organic cotton, with respect for nature and people. The products are made in subtle, Nordic color tones and high quality cotton to last for a long time.

The Organic Company is celebrating their 15th birthday and there will be some great promotions on the day so you can get something for yourself and your home as well as get started on holiday gifts for the family. Greentail Table will be hosting a pop-up shop with Serve Kindness in Newton on Saturday, October 26th from 1pm-4pm to benefit Boston-based organization Lovin' Spoonfuls. 10% of all sales of handblown glass bowls from Serve Kindness and any purchase from Greentail Table during the event will support Lovin' Spoonful's work to rescue and distribute healthy, fresh food that would otherwise be discarded throughout Massachusetts.

MAY 4 1:00-4:00PM Kate McGuire Pottery Pop Up -- Meet Boston based potter Kate McGuire and shop her wonderful wheel-thrown and hand-built creations.

MAY 7 6:00-9:00PM Ellie Kai & India Hicks Trunk Show --Join Nicole Pirani for this special trunk show as she discusses Spring and upcoming summer trends. Tarot card readings too! 15% of all trunk show orders will be donated to Furnishing Hope of Massachusetts.
